HONOURING HIM AS THE SECOND GENERAL PHYSICIAN OF ERODE and providing medical
services and quality health care to the people of Erode.
He was referred as a GREAT PROFESSOR from THANJAVUR MEDICAL COLLEGE.
Dr K. Thangavelu (General Medicine) finished his undergraduate course at Thanjavur
Medical College in the year of 1967. Worked as a lecturer in pathology at Thirunelveli
Medical College in the year of 1968 to 1969, finished his MD., in General Medicine at
Madurai Medical College from 1969 to 1971 worked as assistant professor of medicine at
Thanjavur Medical College from 1971 to 1977, has been actively involved in teaching
undergraduate, postgraduate and medical student at the college and published few papers
in medical journals.
Has worked as a specialist in medicine in govt head quarters hospital Erode from 1977 to 1980 has resigned from government service in year 1981 and started full-time consultant physician practice with a medical nursing home. Now Dr Thangavelu Hospital has extended into a super speciality centre with the full-time consultant of Dr T. Saravanan MD., DM., (Nephrologist) and Dr Purnimaa Saravanan MD.,(OG) (Fertility Specialist) at Abirami Kidney Care, Erode.
